Our Why
I’m Dr. Jodi Ashbrook,
Founder of The U School.
I specialize in Enrollment Management, Operational Efficiency and Student Retention. My experience in higher education has enabled many institutions to realize their goal of changing the world through education.
I have done extensive research and consulting on the student journey since 2008, and have uncovered a repeating pattern of characteristics universal to all underperforming teams.
These problems plague even the most productive teams. Missed opportunities and shortcomings affect student decision-making and the overall student experience preventing even the best teams from realizing their full potential.
My research has improved institutions’ student support, transition, and engagement processes which ultimately improved new enrollment growth and retention.
I developed the materials available from The U School over the last 13 years, consulting with colleges and Universities across the United States consulting everyone from University Vice Presidents, to College Admission Counselors, to sitting down with students for vital feedback.
The results of the last 13 years are now The U School.
These tools are proven to take down the obstacles standing in the way of your team’s success.
After fielding the same questions across the sector and encountering team after team experiencing the same barriers, I decided to develop a program to provide access to on-demand, digital resources when in-person consulting isn’t practical or economically viable and make those resources affordable to any institution that wants to tap into their fullest potential.
No one in the higher education arena was offering research proven resources in a digital, on-demand format with this level of convenience, affordability and ROI.
Until now…
The U School is Born.
